Dr. Jacqui Gabb
Professor Emerit of Sociology and Intimacy
Jacqui was formerly seconded to Paired from The Open University, UK, where she is Professor Emerit of Sociology and Intimacy. Her ‘Enduring Love?’ study on long-term couple relationships has received widespread critical acclaim and its findings on the importance of daily interactions in successful relationships has particularly informed the development of Paired.
The author of three books, Jacqui’s research and impact activities have been recognized by three prestigious awards: the BSA Philip Abrams Memorial prize (2009, the Open University Engaging Research Award (2014), the Evelyn Gillian Research Impact Award (2016). She also provides regular media commentary on relationships and has featured in BBC World News, CNN, New York Post, and more.
